NEW YORK (AP) _ When she agreed to do Woody Allen's latest comedy, ``Hollywood Ending,'' Tea Leoni called Elisabeth Shue, one of the director-actor's former co-stars.

``And from Lisa I got, `He's a great kisser, do you get to kiss him?''' Leoni told reporters. ``And I said, `Well, yes, it's scripted at least twice I think.' And she said, `Oh, throw in another.'''

The 36-year-old actress, who plays 66-year-old Allen's ex-wife in the film, said the role isn't a comic one.

``I thought, `You know ... this is the straight guy and I'm not interesting enough to be a straight guy. Give me a banana peel or something over here, I don't know what to do.''

In ``Hollywood Ending,'' Allen is a washed-up director who develops psychosomatic blindness. The film also stars George Hamilton and Debra Messing.
