CHICAGO (AP) _ Chicago White Sox manager Jerry Manuel and pitcher Rocky Biddle were ejected in the sixth inning of Monday night's game against the Minnesota Twins.
Home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt ejected Manuel when he argued a call at the plate after the Twins' Doug Mientkiewicz was ruled safe as he slid around a tag by catcher Mark Johnson.
Dustahn Mohr then hit a three-run homer off Biddle, who hit the next batter, A.J. Pierzynski, with a pitch.
Wendelstedt quickly ejected Biddle as both benches emptied in front of their dugouts before order was quickly restored. The Twins scored six times in the inning to take an 11-3 lead.
It was Biddle's first career ejection. Manuel has now been ejected seven times, twice this season.
Biddle was replaced on the mound by Gary Glover.
