Jelena Dokic Loses at Sanex Trophy

KNOKKE-HEIST, Belgium (AP) _ Jelena Dokic of Yugoslavia was upset Monday in the first round of the $110,000 WTA Sanex Trophy, losing 6-4, 6-2 to Denise Chladkova of the Czech Republic.
Dokic was seeded third in this clay-court tournament at a North Sea resort.
Seventh-seeded Francesca Schiavone of Italy was beaten by Amanda Hopmans of the Netherlands 6-4, 6-3.
Two seeded Spaniards advanced to the second round. No. 4 Angeles Montolio beat Sandria Kleinova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2, and No. 5 Magui Serna downed Lubomira Bacheva of Bulgaria 6-4, 6-4.
Local favorite Els Callens of Belgium lost to Barbara Schwarz of Austria 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.
Top-seeded Kim Clijsters will play before her home fans on center court Tuesday against Ludmilla Cervanova of Slovakia.
