KANATA, Ontario (AP) _ Janne Laukkanen's goal with 55 seconds left in regulation lifted the Ottawa Senators to a 2-1 win over the struggling Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night.

With their 10th straight loss, the last-place Lightning dropped to 9-33-8. Tampa Bay's last road win was Dec. 13 at Ottawa.

The Senators are now .500 at home (12-12-1).

Daniel Alfresson _ who assisted on Laukkanen's goal _ tied the game on a Senators power play with six minutes left in the third period. The all-star, who hadn't scored since Dec. 7, came out of the corner and put a shot past goaltender Mark Fitzpatrick.

Stephane Richer scored his sixth goal of the season, his first in a Tampa Bay uniform, 3:26 into the first period.

Heading into the game, Ottawa had been shut out four times in its last 11 games, scoring only 17 goals.

The Senators are ranked 20th in the league on the power play, having now gone 4-for-71 in their last 20 games. The Lightning have the league's worst unit with the man advantage.
