GARDENA, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives have made an arrest after the discovery of the beaten, nude body of a woman in a gutter.
The body was found Thursday in front of a parked motorhome in an unincorporated area of Gardena.
A Sheriff's Department statement Friday says a 55-year-old man occupying the motorhome was questioned by homicide detectives and admitted to killing the victim and dumping her body.
The victim suffered blunt-force trauma to her head and body. She appeared to be between 40 and 50 years old. The coroner will determine her identity and the exact cause of death.
The suspect was booked for investigation of murder. His name has not been released.
