NEW YORK (AP) _ Netscape is adding features and redesigning its homepage to make it more of a one-stop Web site that the company hopes will attract more users and be more attractive to advertisers.

Netcenter 2.0, as the page will be called, will feature free Web-based e-mail; expanded search features; personalized news, stocks and weather; and enhanced browsing features.

Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Marketing for Netcenter, said the site would launch with the e-mail and search features by the end of June. The personalization _ to be called ``My Netscape'' _ and enhanced browsing will be in place by the end of July.

Netcenter 2.0 link Netscape's browser software with services, to create something more akin to a computer's desktop. Other features to be added, Bailey said, include management of browsers' bookmarks and an address book.

Bailey said Netscape expected the new Netcenter site to bring in more revenue than the $31 million the current site made in the last quarter.
