LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Grammy-nominated singer Paula Cole has agreed to let her hit ``I Don't Want to Wait'' be the title song for the new TV series ``Dawson's Creek.''

``You can feel the full range of emotions in the songs that she performs, and since so much of `Dawson's Creek' is about the constantly changing feelings of teen-agers, she was a perfect choice,'' Kevin Williamson, the show's executive producer, said Monday.

Cole, who took part in last summer's Lilith Fair tour, has been nominated for seven Grammys. Her plaintive ``Where Have All the Cowboys Gone'' earned song and record of the year nominations.

``Dawson's Creek,'' about teen-agers growing up in a small town, premiered on the WB network Jan. 20.
