Detroit recalled goalie Curtis Joseph from the minors Monday. Joseph, who had surgery Aug. 19 to remove bone chips from his right ankle, made one start for Grand Rapids of the AHL. Detroit has been looking to trade the 15-year veteran since six-time Vezina Trophy winner Dominik Hasek ended his one-season retirement.
