NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A woman charged with killing her two children in a Connecticut home filled with natural gas has been removed from a suicide watch in jail.

A Superior Court judge in New Haven ordered LeRoya Moore off the suicide watch Wednesday after a request by her public defender. The judge also ordered that Moore continue to receive mental health care.

Moore is charged with murder in the deaths of 7-year-old son Daaron and 6-year-old daughter Aleisha. The children's bodies were found June 2 in their East Haven home. The causes of their deaths haven't been determined.

Police say Moore was found at the home with arm injuries suggesting a suicide attempt. Court documents say Moore wrote in a note she was sending her children to heaven.
