WOODBURY HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) _ A teacher at a Philadelphia-area elementary school has been charged with making bomb threats there and at a nearby recreation complex.
John Danze, 25, was charged Tuesday with making terrorist threats, creating a risk of widespread injury and damage, and causing false alarms. He was released after posting $30,000 bail.
The alleged incidents occurred between mid-January and mid-March at St. Margaret's, a Roman Catholic elementary school, and the Coliseum, a Voorhees, N.J., recreation center where Danze worked as an assistant swimming coach.
Gloucester County authorities say three separate bomb threats were made at each facility, including one in which Danze threatened himself.
School officials said Danze, who was hired in September as a first-grade teacher, has been fired.
