European Stocks Close Higher

LONDON (AP) _ European stock markets closed higher on Thursday, led by the technology and telecommunications sectors.
Media stocks also gained ground during the session.
The Dow Jones Stoxx Total Market Index of shares in European companies rose 3.31 points to 281.38 points. The Dow Jones Euro Stoxx Total Market Index, which tracks companies in countries that joined the single currency, was up 4.10 points at 278.44 points.
The Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 Index gained 63.7 points to 3,712.5 and the Dow Jones Stoxx 50 Index was up 53.7 points at 3,624.3.
In domestic markets, The Financial Times-Stock Exchange 100-share index rose 52.50 points, or 1.0 percent, to 5,233.10; the CAC 40 Index in Paris advanced 57.26 points, or 1.3 percent, to 4,508.07; and Frankfurt's Xetra DAX gained 7.41 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,170.44.
