Jun. 15, 2013
MONEE, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in Will County say a hotel employee in the village of Monee (moh-NEE') has been charged with criminal sexual assault after he allegedly hid in a woman's room and attacked her.
The Herald-News in Joliet reports (http://bit.ly/17c7l5S ) that 34-year-old Dipeshkumar Shah of Bridgeview also faces two counts of home invasion.
Authorities say Shah entered a guest's room Thursday, waited for her to return and then sexually assaulted her.
Monee police summoned to the scene tried unsuccessfully to break down the door. They arrested Shah when he left the room. It's unclear whether Shah has an attorney.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but her conditions or her injuries aren't known.
