Dec. 15, 2017
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A 24-year-old former corrections center employee in Wyoming has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sex with an inmate.
Tosha Sheesley entered her pleas Friday in Natrona County District Court to two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree sexual assault.
Prosecutors say Sheesley had sex with an inmate while she was a resident manager at the Casper Re-Entry Center.
Court documents say the encounters took place away from the center.
Sheesley worked at the center from Nov. 28, 2016, through March 30, 2017.
She remained free on bond Friday.
The Casper Re-Entry Center is a private company that the Wyoming Department of Corrections contracts with to provide rehabilitation and substance abuse treatment to inmates before they are released from custody.
