BALTIMORE (AP) _ Darrin Fletcher hit his 20th home run of the season in the fifth inning of Thursday night's game against Baltimore, making the Blue Jays only the second team ever to have seven players with 20 or more homers.
Fletcher, who hit a solo shot to the right-field flag court against Pat Rapp leading off the fifth, joined Carlos Delgado (41), Tony Batista (40), Brad Fullmer (32), Jose Cruz Jr. (31), Raul Mondesi (24) and Shannon Stewart (21).
The 1996 Orioles also had seven players with 20 or more homers: Brady Anderson (50), Rafael Palmeiro (39), Bobby Bonilla (28), Cal Ripken (26), Chris Hoiles (25), Roberto Alomar (22) and B.J. Surhoff (21).
