LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Brooke Schwartz scored 16 points as No. 19 Nebraska took control in the second half to beat Montana 78-46 Saturday night.
Schwartz's layup with 16:30 remaining kicked off an 11-0 run by Nebraska (9-1) that blew open a tight game. The Huskers forced six turnovers during the run and held Montana to 3-of-21 shooting to open the second half.
Nebraska led 48-31 after Nicole Kubik's jumper with 12:28 left. Montana (3-4) got no closer than 15 and trailed by as many as 34. Montana scored just 19 points in the second half.
The Lady Griz led only once, 27-24 after Linda Weyler's basket with 1:40 remaining in the first half. Nebraska ended the half with a 9-0 run to lead 33-27.
Kubik had 14 points for Nebraska and Amanda Went and Jennifer Jaraczhad had 10 each.
Weyler and Megan Harrington led Montana with 11 points each.
