MIAMI (AP) _ Show Me the Stage broke on top and sprinted to a 3 3/4-length victory Saturday in the $140,000 Azalea Breeders' Cup Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Calder Race Course.

Could Be was second and Exact was third in a field of nine going six furlongs. It was the winner's first start at Calder and her seventh stakes victory.

Ridden by Ricky Courville, Show Me the Stage was timed in 1:11 4-5 and paid $9.40, $5 and $3.40. Could Be returned $4.40 and $2.80 and Exact was worth $2.80 to show.

Show Me the Stage has won eight of 15 starts with earnings of $247,972.

The California-bred daughter of Slew the Surgeon posted fractions of 21 3-5 for a quarter-mile and 44 flat for a half.

She opened a two-length lead soon after the start and was three lengths in front at the three-eighth pole.
