Sawyer Wins New Hampshire Race

LOUDON, N.H. (AP) _ Elton Sawyer claimed the checkered flag under caution Saturday in winning the Busch Series 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway.
It was Sawyer's first NASCAR Grand National Division victory since 1994 at Myrtle Beach, S.C. and his second overall in a 17-year career.
Sawyer, driving the only Ford in the top five, averaged 103.234 mph.
Pole-sitter Jeff Green, the first of eighth straight Chevrolet finishers, finished second after leading the most laps (152) during the race. Jeff Purvis, who started 26th, was third, followed by Randy LaJoie and Casey Atwood.
The race featured seven caution periods for 35 laps.
