TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man who was among 40 people arrested in a statewide child pornography sweep is going to prison.

A judge on Wednesday sentenced 56-year-old Bruce Davis of Whiting to five years in prison. He must serve at least 2½ years before he'll be eligible for parole and must register as a sex offender when he's released.

Davis admitted he used file-sharing software to make multiple files of child pornography for other users to download.

His 2016 arrest was part of "Operation Statewide," which traced files shared on peer to peer networks.
