Production Goes Up This Week

DETROIT (AP) _ Domestic automakers were scheduled to produce 220,309 cars and trucks this week, up from last week's 212,279, Ward's Automotive Reports said Thursday.
Automakers produced 247,047 cars and trucks during the same week a year ago.
They were were scheduled to make 135,532 cars this week, compared with 127,908 a week ago and 167,443 in the same week in 1987.
Truck production for the week was scheduled at 84,777, compared with last week's 84,371 and last year's 79,604.
Canadian automakers were to build 24,162 cars this week, compared with 21,609 last week and 17,587 in the same week last year. Canadian truck production was scheduled at 20,435, compared with 20,335 last week and 17,928 in the same week last year.
