PROVO, Utah (AP) — A suspect in an attempted murder in northern Utah has been arrested after a standoff at a home in Midvale that temporarily forced a lockdown at a nearby church.
The (Provo) Daily Herald reports 33-year-old Andrew Holloway of South Jordan allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend early Sunday after pursuing the couple through Springville south of Provo.
Salt Lake City police found his black car outside a church in Midvale near Interstate 15 and tracked him to a residence where a SWAT team with a K-9 unit eventually took him into custody.
Holloway's been booked on multiple charges, including suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated burglary, mayhem, unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon and 15 counts of violating a protective order.
It's not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one at a pending court appearance.
