Actor Farentino Files for Divorce
Jan. 04, 2001
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Actor James Farentino has filed for divorce from his wife of six years, citing irreconcilable differences.
It's the second divorce filing of the marriage. In 1998, Stella Farentino moved to end the marriage, also citing irreconcilable differences; the petition later was withdrawn.
Farentino, 62, has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows since the 1960s. He played Jose Menendez in ``Honor Thy Father and Mother,'' the 1994 TV movie about the Menendez brothers killings. He has had recurring roles on ``ER'' and ``Melrose Place.''
The court papers filed Wednesday indicate Farentino will pay unspecified spousal support to his estranged wife. Farentino's attorney Laura Wasser did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday morning.
In March 1994, Farentino pleaded no contest to stalking his ex-girlfriend, Tina Sinatra. He was placed on probation and ordered to undergo counseling.
