ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (AP) _ Former Oakland Raiders quarterback Kenny Stabler was arrested early Saturday morning for driving under the influence, Orange Beach police said.

Stabler was also charged with illegal possession of a prescription drug, according to WKRG-TV.

Orange Beach Assistant Police Chief Gregory Duck wouldn't say what kind of prescription drug, only that it was found in an unmarked container.

Stabler was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

He could not be reached for comment.

Stabler, who played at the University Alabama and is now a member of its football broadcast team, was selected for the Pro Bowl five times. He passed for more than 200 yards 36 times and led the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory over Minnesota in 1977.

Stabler was arrested for DUI once before in 1995.
