MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) _ Two-time champion Craig Parry shot a 7-under-par 66 today for a share of the second-round lead in the Australian Masters with fellow Australian Bradley Hughes.
Parry and Hughes, the 1993 winner who shot a 68, had 10-under 136 totals on the Huntingdale course. American stars John Daly and Tom Watson rebounded from opening 77s to survive the cut. Daly shot a 68 and Watson had a 70.
``After an eagle on seven and birdies on eight and nine I started to get more and more confidence, but it was a nerve-wracking back nine,'' Daly said.
Canada's Rick Gibson (69) was two back along with Australians Greg Chalmers (71), Peter Lonard (69) and Andre Stolz (67). Jack O'Keefe was the top U.S. player, shooting a 68 for a 140 total.
