Jul. 19, 2016
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Pittsfield man found lying unresponsive in his own driveway last weekend had been shot in the chest and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Prosecutors say preliminary autopsy results released Monday show that 38-year-old Joseph Brown died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Firefighters responded to Brown's address after getting a 911 call for a man down at about 2 a.m. Sunday. They called police when they noticed the apparent gunshot wound. Brown was ruled dead at the scene.
There have been no arrests reported.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call them.
