Bethune-Cookman 60, Florida A&M 45

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Led by Jaime Grant's 20 points, Bethune-Cookman beat Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival Florida A&M Saturday 60-45.
The Florida A&M Rattlers (6-14, 1-9) pulled ahead early, opening the game with a 13-4 run and led by as many as 10 points.
Finally Bethune-Cookman's Grant scorched the Rattlers in the final five minutes of the first half. The senior connected on four consecutive 3-point shots and led all scorers in the period with 12 points, managing Bethune-Cookman a narrow 26-24 halftime lead.
Florida A&M continued to struggle early in the second half, scoring just two points in the first seven minutes of the period.
With 4:50 remaining in the game, Grant stripped Rattlers guard Guy Walton and passed it ahead to teammate Alistair Henry for a layup and a 10-point lead _ putting the game out of reach for the Rattlers.
The loss extended Florida A&M's losing streak to five and nine of the last ten.
Tyronn White had 16 points for Bethune-Cookman (9-9, 5-5) and Alistair Henry added 11.
The Rattlers were led by Tyrone Lovett, who finished with nine points. Sophomore Jerome James had seven rebounds and three blocks.
