BOSTON (AP) _ Here are members of the families of Charles and Carol Stuart and when they apparently knew that Charles Stuart's mugging story was a hoax and that he was a suspect in her murder:
--- EVELYN DIMAITI, 58 GIUSTO DIMAITI, 64
The parents of Carol Stuart and residents in the Boston suburb of Medford. They did not know until Charles Stuart's suicide on Jan. 4 that he was in any way linked to the crime. Shortly after news of the suicide broke, DiMaiti was rushed to a hospital for observation after he had trouble breathing. Until recently he worked for Sonny's Pizza, a family business in Chelsea that makes pizza dough.
--- CARL DIMAITI, 37
Carol Stuart's older brother and only sibling. He lives in Medford and also works for Sonny's Pizza. He has said he knew nothing until authorities linked Charles Stuart to the slaying shortly after his suicide.
--- DOROTHY STUART, 60 CHARLES STUART SR., 67
Both are the parents of Charles, Matthew, Michael and Mark Stuart. Stuart Sr., a retired insurance salesman, is the father also of Shelley Yandoli and Neysa Porter, daughters born to his late first wife. The couple live in Revere. They apparently learned their eldest son was a suspect at a family gathering Jan. 2, two days before he committed suicide.
--- MATTHEW STUART, 23
Charles Stuart's youngest brother and a mixer at a paint factory. Matthew Stuart has said through his lawyer that he met Charles at the crime scene and disposed of a gun and a purse containing some of Carol Stuart's belongings. He said the shootings must have occurred by time the meeting occurred but that he did not realize either person was shot until later. It is not known when the brothers struck the arrangement to meet at the crime scene.
--- MICHAEL STUART, 28
A firefighter in Revere. Michael Stuart has said through his lawyer that Matthew told him three days after the Oct. 23 shootings that their sister-in- law apparently had been shot by Charles. He also said Charles approached him weeks before the crime and talked vaguely of a plot, but that he replied he didn't know what Charles was talking about and didn't want anything to do with it. He said the discussion seemed significant only in retrospect.
--- SHELLEY YANDOLI, 36
A half sister to the Stuart brothers and a part-time bartender at a Revere restaurant owned by some cousins. A telephone conversation between her and Michael Stuart before the family gathering Jan. 2 reveals that she knew by that time that Charles was involved in the shooting. The conversation was routinely taped at the firehouse where Michael Stuart worked.
--- MARK STUART, 26
A computer operator who lives in Revere. He has said through an attorney that he learned Jan. 1 that the mugging story was a hoax, but it is not clear which of his siblings informed him.
--- NEYSA PORTER, 34
Shelley Yandoli's sister and a half sister to the four brothers. She is a housewife and mother of two. She apparently learned Charles was a suspect the same time as her parents at the Jan. 2 family gathering.
