HOUSTON (AP) _ Taj McWilliams-Franklin scored 21 points and added 13 rebounds to lead the Connecticut Sun to an 86-67 win over the Houston Comets on Sunday.
Margo Dydek added 19 points for the Sun, who swept the season series from the Comets and kept Houston from clinching a playoff spot in the Western Conference race.
The Sun extended their franchise-best winning streak to 10 games and improved to 24-6 overall.
Sheryl Swoopes scored a team-high 21 points for the Comets (17-14), who can still make the postseason with a win in any of their three regular season games.
Michelle Snow added 17 points and five rebounds for the Comets, who lost at home for just the fourth time this season.
The Sun used an early 14-5 run started by Dydek's first 3-pointer of the night to grab their first lead.
Houston trailed 26-20 after the opening quarter, but Dydek and McWilliams-Franklin combined for 10 points in the second quarter as the Sun built a 46-33 lead at halftime.
