As charity founders retire, they pay forward to other groups

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi charity is donating to other nonprofit groups as it prepares to close down.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that Sherry Abraham and Judy Hester founded Women First Resource Center in Tupelo. They are breast cancer survivors and started the center to help others dealing with the disease.
The women are in their 70s and have decided to retire.
The center on Wednesday donated more than $95,000 to Saints' Brew, a feeding ministry run by All Saints' Episcopal Church.
Abraham and Hester say the center will donate to a few other charities this year.
