DEPTFORD, N.J. (AP) _ Philadelphia 76ers owner Pat Croce was injured in an accident Thursday shortly after beginning what he hoped would be a coast-to-coast motorcycle trip.
Team spokeswoman Karen Frascona said Croce sustained a leg injury, but was not badly hurt.
Croce was treated Thursday evening at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia where he was listed in fair condition.
WPVI television in Philadelphia said Croce had stopped to put on rain gear when he was struck by another motorcycle in his group.
The bikers had just set out from Croce's Ocean City home on what they envisioned as a coast-to-coast trip lasting about a week.
