BRANDON, Fla. (AP) _ A man out on bail on charges of striking his wife and chasing his father with a sword walked into a mortgage office where the woman worked as a bookkeeper, shot her to death and killed himself.

Marvin Stewart Williams, 38, shot his wife, Lauren, 22, in the back of the head with a pistol as she talked on the telephone.

Williams suffered from manic-depression, said his brother, Roy Williams, owner of the office.

In December, Williams was charged with striking his wife. A month later, he was charged with hitting and kicking his father and chasing him with a sword. He was free on $15,000 bail.
