ATLANTA (AP) — The rapper T.I. was arrested early yesterday as he tried to enter his gated community outside Atlanta and was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and simple assault — but the artist's lawyer called it a wrongful arrest.
T.I. is one of the biggest names in hip-hop, with multiple platinum-selling albums and singles, production credits and roles in films like "ATL" and "American Gangster."
Henry County Deputy Police Chief Mike Ireland said the rapper was arrested around 4:30 a.m. after he got into an argument with a security guard. Media reports say the Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Clifford Harris, had lost his key and the guard wouldn't let him into the community.
Ireland said T.I. and a friend were arrested. The rapper has been released on bail.

SNOOP DOGG - SMOKE
NEW YORK (AP) — With his well-earned reputation as a pot aficionado, you'd think Snoop Dogg should be used to being surrounded by smoke. But that wasn't the case yesterday, when the rapper seemed to get lost in a cloud of it. It happened when Snoop performed as part of the Turner Networks presentation of its fall lineup. It was a double-duty thing for him, since he also hosts the TBS game show "The Joker's Wild." After doing a short set, Snoop began heading off the stage. But an onstage smoke machine cranked out too much of the stuff — making Snoop appear he was engulfed in the cloud. A stagehand with a flashlight helped show him the way.
NEW YORK (AP) — To say Childish Gambino and his hit "This Is America" are hot — is a bit of an understatement. Not only has the song made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Gambino has topped out at No. 3 on the Billboard Artist 100. That chart measures an artist across a number of facets of music activity, such as album and single sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media. Gambino is the musical pseudonym of actor Donald Glover. His previous peak on the Billboard Artist chat was No. 7, in December of 2016.
LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA - GEORGE H.W. BUSH

The touring company of the Tony-winning musical "Hamilton" gave the Republican a special performance in his Houston office on Tuesday.

"Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted it was an honor.
