EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) _ Lisa Shepherd scored 27 points and Helen Darling added 18 in leading No. 18 Penn State to a 92-63 victory Sunday over Northwestern.

Shepherd's 3-pointer to start the game put the Nittany Lions (18-5, 10-3) ahead for good. They were up by as many as 22 in the first half, at 43-21, and settled for a 20-point halftime lead.

Leslie Shock's 16 points topped the Wildcats (10-12, 4-8 Big Ten) while Megan Chawansky and Clarissa Flores each added 14.

Chrissy Falcon came off the bench to score 12 points, all on 3-pointers, and Andrea Garner added 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds for the Lions.
