LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Former Nebraska running back Thunder Collins pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace Monday as part of an agreement with prosecutors to drop charges for fighting with his girlfriend.

Sentencing was scheduled for Dec. 13.

Collins, who quit the football team three weeks ago, could face up to a $500 fine and six months in jail.

He originally was charged in June 2001.
