CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) _ Chris Sanders passed for 364 yards and two touchdowns as Chattanooga beat VMI Saturday night, extending the Keydets' losing streak to 16 games.

Chattanooga (3-3, 1-2 Southern Conference) racked up 544 yards of total offense and controlled the clock by holding the ball for more than 37 minutes.

The Mocs got on the board first with Sanders' 5-yard TD pass to Nate Bandy at 4:21 in the first quarter. VMI (0-7, 0-5) answered a minute later with Gene Cauthen's 16-yard touchdown run.

Chattanooga broke the 7-7 tie in the second quarter with Sanders' second TD pass and back-to-back field goals of 32 and 19 yards by Matt Vick, putting the Mocs ahead 20-7 at halftime.

The Mocs padded their lead with Jason Jones' 31-yard touchdown pass to Ronnie Strickland in the third quarter. With a minute left in the game, VMI finished the scoring when Derek Screen returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a touchdown.
