MORRISVILLE, N.C. (AP) _ Peter Karmanos Jr., owner of the Carolina Hurricanes, was recuperating Monday after double coronary bypass surgery.
Karmanos, 56, became ill Saturday night while vacationing in Nevada and the operation took place at a Las Vegas-area hospital early Sunday, the team said in a news release.
``The operation was a normal bypass procedure without any complications and Peter is expected to make a full recovery,'' said Joseph Nathan, president of Karmanos' Compuware Corp., based in Farmington Hills, Mich.
