BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A second man is facing charges in a shooting outside two bars in downtown Burlington, Vermont, that injured an innocent bystander.
The Burlington Free Press reports that 33-year-old Carl Martin, of Colchester, has been cited into court in September on anticipated charges of aggravated assault, aggravated disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
Police say he was one of two men who pulled guns on each other in February. The other man — 37-year-old Rashad Nashid of Burlington — is accused of firing his gun into the crowd, injuring a woman. He's expected to face charges of aggravated assault, negligent use of a gun, aggravated disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment in September.
His lawyer did not return a phone call seeking comment.
