WHEATON, Ill. (AP) — A suburban Chicago man has been charged with supplying the heroin that killed a teenager last month.

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald (http://bit.ly/13Vpzl6 ) reports that 18-year-old Nolan McMahon of Hanover Park appeared in a DuPage County courtroom Friday on charges of heroin possession and drug-induced homicide. A judge set his bond at $1 million.

Authorities allege that McMahon sold heroin to 15-year-old John Dudek twice in the hours before Dudek was found dead of an overdose in his Bartlett home on July 10.

Prosecutors say witnesses saw McMahon packaging heroin before selling it to the teen. Investigators worked with a confidential informant who purchased heroin from McMahon three times before officers searched his home and arrested him this week.
