KAIMON, Japan (AP) _ Kiyoshi Murota shot a 4-under-par 68 Friday to take a one-stroke lead over Sergio Garcia and three others after the second round of the World Open.

Murota had six birdies and two bogeys on the 7,105-yard, par-72 Ibusuki Golf Club's Kaimon Course in southwestern Japan for a 36-hole total of 133, 11 under par.

Garcia, who had a 69 in the opening round and started the second round five strokes back, shot a 65, getting eight birdies.

``I switched putters after yesterday's round and that made a huge difference,'' Garcia said.

Katayama, last year's top money winner in Japan, had eight birdies in a bogey-free round of 64, the day's best score. He was joined at 134 by first-round leader Brendan Jones, who shot a 70, and Jumbo Ozaki, who shot a 69.
