TORONTO (AP) _ Doug Flutie completed 25 of 34 passes for 296 yards, threw for four touchdowns and ran for another Thursday night as the Calgary Stampeders won their seventh straight CFL game, a 52-3 victory over the Toronto Argonauts.
Perfect weather, an open roof at the SkyDome and the on-going baseball strike led to the Argos' largest crowd of the season - 19,158.
Dave Sapunjis caught two touchdown passes for Calgary (7-1), while Will Moore, Allan Pitts and Brian Wiggins had one each. Tony Stewart finished with 109 yards on 16 carries and ran for a touchdown. Pitts caught five passes for 134 yards.
Calgary, which forced seven turnovers, led 24-3 at halftime and Flutie put the game away in the third quarter with a two-yard touchdown run and a 40-yard touchdown pass to Pitts. Flutie was then replaced by Steve Taylor, who connected with Wiggins on a 42-yard pass to end the game's scoring.
Reggie Slack was 11-for-18 for 117 yards and two interceptions for the Argonauts (3-5). He was replaced in the third quarter by Mike Kerrigan and rookie Marvin Graves came on halfway through the fourth quarter.
