BRANCHVILLE, N.J. (AP) _ Selective Insurance Group Inc. (SIGI) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $58.8 million.

The Branchville, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 99 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, were $1.01 per share.

The insurance holding company posted revenue of $651.9 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $650.4 million.

Selective Insurance shares have climbed nearly 2 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 17 percent in the last 12 months.
