LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — Police in northern Colorado are investigating after a driver who was shot crashed into a parked car.

Police in Longmont say officers were responding to a "shots fired" call near a park at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when a minivan crashed into a parked car five blocks away.

Police say the driver had been shot and told them he was wounded near the location of the reported shots. He was taken to a nearby hospital before being transferred to a Denver area hospital. His condition isn't known.
