CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Arlando Johnson scored 30 points and hit 12-of-13 free throws to help Eastern Kentucky defeat Austin Peay 83-70 Saturday night.
The Colonels (8-14, 6-6 Ohio Valley Conference) controlled the game from the beginning.
Marlon Stewart, who scored 26 points, hit two 3-pointers in the first 45 seconds to put Eastern Kentucky on top 8-0.
Eastern's biggest lead of 82-63 came when Johnson hit two free throws with 54 seconds left to play.
The Governors (8-12, 5-5) trimmed Eastern's lead to 60-53 on Joe Sibbett's 3-pointer with 8:38 left in the first half, but could get no closer.
Marcus Moore led Austin Peay with 15 points, Jermaine Savage 12, and Sibbett finished with 11.
