CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago White Sox have returned Brent Morel to Triple-A Charlotte and optioned right-handed pitcher Brian Omogrosso to the minor league club.

The White Sox announced the moves after Friday's doubleheader against Cleveland.

Morel was recalled from the minors on Wednesday when the White Sox placed third baseman Conor Gillaspie on paternity leave and served as the 26th man for the doubleheader. He was 2 for 9 in three games.

Omogrosso, 29, is 0-2 with a 9.37 ERA in 12 relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox this season. He was recalled from Charlotte for the second time on June 21.

The White Sox will have a corresponding roster move prior to Saturday's game vs. Cleveland.

Gillaspie was reinstated from paternity leave before Friday's games.
