PEABODY, Mass. (AP) — Two youths were arrested on the property of a Massachusetts elementary school after they pulled a BB gun on a boy and stole his cellphone.

The boys were charged Saturday with armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. They are scheduled to be arraigned in Salem Juvenile Court on Monday.

The victim told police he was walking on the grounds of the Welch Elementary School in Peabody (PEE'-buh-dee) when two masked boys approached him and asked to use his cellphone.

Police say the suspects brandished a gun and fled with the phone after the victim handed it over. Police searched the area and found a BB gun at the scene.

The victim has not been identified.
