LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ Richter Scale took command early and posted an impressive four-length victory in the 14th running of the $207,800 Grade II Commonwealth Breeders' Cup at Keeneland on Sunday.

Jockey Richard Migliore guided the 6-year-old colt to the lead right from the gate in the 7-furlong sprint. Richter Scale took a three-length lead into the stretch and finished the race in 1:21.07.

Son's Corona was second, with Jerry Bailey aboard. Deep Gold, with Pat Day, finished third, 2 1/2 lengths back.

Richter Scale, who won his fourth stakes race in a row for owners Nancy and Richard Kaster and Nathan Fox, paid $2.60, $2.40 and $2.20.

He earned $128,836 to push his career earnings to $959,958. Son's Corona returned $4.40 and $2.80. Deep Gold paid $2.40.
