Dell Computers To Offer AOL

ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) _ Dell Computer Corp. will include America Online Inc.'s service on its products in North America under a marketing agreement between the companies.
Starting Monday, Dell, a large direct marketer of computers based in Round Rock, Texas, will include in its Dimension and Inspiron systems compact discs containing AOL 4.0 software and 100 free hours of service.
As of early next year, Dell users will be able to access a preinstalled, customized version of the AOL 4.0 software that features links to Dell's ConnectDirect, an Internet access service, according to the companies.
America Online, the world's largest online service, is based in Dulles, Va. AOL's shares were up $12.62 1/2 at $116.87 1/2 on the New York Stock Exchange.
Dell's stock price was up $3.56 1/4 at $71.43 3/4 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
