MEDELLIN, Colombia (AP) _ A Colombian soccer player has been kidnapped, apparently by one of the country's main guerrilla groups, police said.

Andres Estrada, a midfielder on the national soccer team, was driving in the mountains east of Medellin late Friday when three men and a woman stopped the car and abducted him at gunpoint, a young boy who was riding in the vehicle told police.

The boy was freed two hours later. He was not immediately identified.

The kidnapping took place near Carmen de Viboral in the northwestern Antioquia region, where Estrada was spending the Easter holiday with family and friends, police said Saturday.

National Liberation Army guerrillas are active in the area and have been known to kidnap people and demand ransom to finance their war against the state. It was not clear if a ransom has been requested for Estrada.
