HARVARD, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts high school teacher is facing child pornography charges.

U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Andrew Lelling says 26-year-old Warren Anderson admitted in Boston federal court Tuesday he accessed websites on the so-called "dark web" to obtain child pornography.

The office says Anderson, a math teacher at Narragansett Regional High School in Templeton, obtained videos of men sexually assaulting children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old.

School Superintendent Christopher Casavant says Anderson has been placed on indefinite leave and that there's not any evidence any of the victims were local students.

Authorities say Anderson was arrested at his home in Harvard as part of an ongoing investigation into the use of the online messenger Kik for exchanging child pornography.

He's being held pending an Aug. 27 hearing.
