ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) _ Jeff Gaca scored 15 points and Shawn Maharaj keyed a second-half turnaround with consecutive 3-pointers as Cornell beat Dartmouth 60-46 Friday in its first Ivy League victory this season.
Maharaj's 3-pointers gave Cornell (3-15, 1-6) its first lead, 33-32, with 14:49 left.
Justin Treadwell converted two free-throws to give the Big Red a 39-37 lead and they led the rest of the way. With 10:52 to play, Gaca scored seven consecutive points as Cornell went on a 9-0 run.
Cornell held Dartmouth (9-10, 4-3) to nine points during the final 12:30.
Michael Lombard led Dartmouth, which was up 24-23 at halftime, with 16 points.
