LONDON (AP) _ Harrisons & Crosfield PLC said Friday it has sold K&B Forest Products, its timber importing and processing subsidiary, to Meyer International PLC for 32.6 million pounds ($51.75 million).

Bill Turcan, chief executive of H&C, said ``K&B has historically performed well but it remains a relatively small player in a consolidating timber and building supplies industry.'' He added that the benefits of being a big producer are becoming increasingly important.

For the year ended Dec. 31, 1994, K&B made an operating profit of 3.8 million pounds on sales of 64.2 million pounds.

H&C has chemical, industrial, timber, building supplies, food, agriculture and plantation operations in the U.K., North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
